Silver Spur

Track every company laptop from purchase to disposal, and know which ones to replace next quarter.

Silver Spur reads your devices from Microsoft Intune, Google Workspace or a CSV and keeps one register of warranty dates, device age, who holds what, and how each machine was wiped and retired. Finance gets a quarterly replacement forecast in dollars. IT gets a list of serial numbers.

One register for the questions IT and finance both ask about hardware.

Read-only device sync

Serials, models, OS and primary user come in from your MDM every hour. Nothing is written back.

Warranty and age alerts

Custody and disposal records

Every handover, return and wipe is logged with a date, a person and the certificate file.

Illustrative product interface

A hardware budget built from serial numbers, not guesses.

The forecast takes each device's purchase date, your age limit for its class (for example 4 years for laptops, 3 for phones) and its warranty end date, then places it in the quarter it is due. You set a replacement unit price per model class, and the quarter totals update.

  • Move a device to a later quarter and record the reason, such as a battery replaced in-warranty.
  • Export the plan as CSV or XLSX with serial, cost center, quarter and unit price for your FP&A model.
  • Compare the plan with what was actually retired last year.

What we access, and what happens to it.

Silver Spur stores device inventory and the name and work email of the person each device is assigned to. It does not read files, mail, browsing history or location from devices.

Questions

Do we need Intune or Google Workspace?

No. Many customers start with a CSV export from a purchasing spreadsheet. The MDM connection keeps assignments and OS data current without manual updates.

Where do warranty dates come from?

From your purchase records or CSV import, or entered per device. You can bulk-update dates for a purchase order, for example all devices covered by one extended warranty contract.

Can Silver Spur wipe or lock a device?

No. Access is read-only. Wipes run in your MDM or with your recycler, and Silver Spur stores the record and certificate.

Which devices count toward billing?

Devices with status In stock, Assigned or In repair at month end. Retired and disposed devices stay in the history at no charge.

Can an IT provider manage several companies?

Yes. Each company is a separate workspace with its own sources, users and billing. One login can switch between workspaces.

How fast does support reply?

Within one business day on Register, and within four business hours on Lifecycle and Enterprise, Monday to Friday, Pacific Time.
